Why is this such an issue? Because every church has something wrong about Christianity or something not everyone agrees on. So, why would one Church get it right? God is too complex for humans to understand.
That is what the problem is, even if a church is right it is impossible to know for sure.
But I have got an incredibly simple conclusion, instead of blindly following a Church, follow Jesus.
Don't get me wrong getting Baptized is still important for any Christian, same with the Eucharist.
As long as a Church preaches what Jesus preached and understands the basics of Christianity without any heresy then there should not be a problem.
The gospels are more important than any Church, Following Jesus is the most important part of Christianity, you are not going to hell if you are not Protestant, Catholic, Orthodox or any other Church.
The Cross stands for Christ not the Church.
But what if I tell you everything I just said is inaccurate? A popular opinion held by protestants, an opinion that is given without any evidence to back it up and based entirely off of theology.
The Cross stands for Christ but so does the Church.
Jesus clearly sets up ONE Church in Matthew chapter 16, and of course people would follow the 1st century Christians since a large amount of them literally knew Jesus and learnt directly from him.
You should not gain political or religious views from simple articles that can be manipulative, not even this, people should read the bible themselves, look into Church history and make up their own opinion.
Jesus taught one religion, not 50 Churches.
