Glaucoma is one of the most common eye problems people need to be careful because it can wreck eye sight and make you not to be able to see anything. Its the optic nerve that connects to the back of the eye ball. It’s usually caused by fluid building up in the front part of the eye, which increases pressure inside the eye. Glaucoma can lead to loss of vision if it’s not diagnosed and treated early. It can affect people of all ages, but is most common in adults in their 70s and 80s.

People with glaucoma only has either pipe vision or half or none depending how damaged the nerve is to the socket in the eye. People with glaucoma has been wearing dark glasses to cover there eyes from the light. It’s important to have regular eye tests so problems such as glaucoma can be diagnosed and treated as early as possible. Early treatment can help stop your vision becoming severely affected. You should have an eye test at least every 2 years. If you’re at a higher risk of glaucoma – for example, if you have a close relative with it – you may be advised to have more frequent tests.
