Food allergy


There are many different food allergy’s out there the most is nut allergy because its common in kids and adults. Nut allergy like peanut allergy is common for doctors and nurses to come across. They can treat the patient if there their at the surgery with an allergy shot what goes in the leg.

Food allergy’s can be dangerous because your airways can close up and you can die from this if not treated. The symptoms of an allergy will start to show signs like tingling in the mouth , raised itchy red rash and others that are noticeable if noticed phone 111 for emergency details. Nuts are in nearly every food products and its hard for people with nut allergy’s to tell what’s got nuts in and what aint.

Anaphylaxis is even worse than allergy because you can go in shock and you will collapse and have these symptoms. The symptoms of a severe allergic reaction anaphylaxis can be sudden and get worse very quickly. Initial symptoms of anaphylaxis are often the same as those listed above and can lead to:

  • swollen tongue
  • breathing difficulties
  • tight chest
  • trouble swallowing or speaking
  • feeling dizzy or faint
  • collapse

During allergy skin tests, your skin is exposed to suspected allergy-causing substances (allergens) and is then observed for signs of an allergic reaction. Along with your medical history, allergy tests may be able to confirm whether or not a particular substance you touch, breathe or eat is causing symptoms.
